A Public Travel Diary
I live in Chengdu. I love the outdoors and I love food, and over the years I've visited a lot of places — but I've rarely written any of it down.
Real Chengdu is my attempt to fix that: a real, personal travel diary, kept the way I keep a software project — timed, photographed, and verified.
I don't have a fixed update schedule. When I post depends on where I've been in Chengdu lately, what I experienced, and whether there's anything worth writing about. So there's no 'Top 10' every month, and no hundreds of AI-written articles churned out just to keep things looking fresh. This diary only records what I think is genuinely useful for someone coming to Chengdu for the first time. Places I've been — I'll tell you if they're worth it. Pitfalls I've hit — I'll say so directly. I'm not here to sell Chengdu as perfect. I just want you to take fewer detours before you arrive.

The Method
Queue lengths, prices, wait times — measured on site and written down the moment they happened.
Receipts, route maps, and timestamps. If I say I paid ¥55, there's a photo of the ticket.
If a place is overhyped, I say so — including the warning blocks you will find in every deep dive.
Languages
Real Chengdu is available in 10 languages: English, 中文, ไทย, 日本語, 한국어, Tiếng Việt, Bahasa Melayu, Español, Français, 繁體中文. English is the default. Articles are written in Chinese first, then translated.
